The Dayton Literary Peace Prize is an annual U.S. literary award first given in 2006, recognizing the power of the written word to promote peace. It awards $10,000 each to adult fiction and non-fiction books published within the past year that foster understanding of other peoples, cultures, religions, and political views. The award is an offshoot of the Dayton Peace Prize, which originated from the 1995 peace accords ending the Bosnian War.
