The Betty Trask Prize and Awards are for first novels written by authors under 35 who reside in a current or former Commonwealth nation. The awards total at least £20,000 annually, with one author receiving a larger "Prize" and the rest given as "Awards" to other nominees. They are given to traditional or romantic novels, whether published or unpublished.
