Stephanie's Ponytail
Published 1996-05-01 · 24 pages
This book examines school culture, in the form of fellow students copying a hairstyle. Stephanie struggles to find a new way to wear her hair that is unique. She tries wearing her ponytail on top, on the side, and even in front, but everyone copies her. Finally, in desperation, she declares that tomorrow she will come to school with a shaved head so that she can finally look different from the copycats.
